Summer Fair 2017

On 5th August, in the middle of an unusually warm summer, Norwood House Nursing Home held their annual summer fair! Unlike this year, the Home was blessed with fantastic weather as friends, families and residents were able to sit outside and soak up the summer rays as well as feast on homemade BBQ delights and snacks including burgers, pakoras, chicken tikka and biryani, as well as the finest homemade cake Keighley has to offer for dessert – could you want more?! There was an unlimited supply of classic upbeat music from our speakers which had some residents and families on their feet and dancing! Not forgetting our special tombola and raffle, with prizes kindly donated by staff, friends and families of the Home.

Everyone who attended left glowing responses to the event and in particular, the residents were left in glee and happiness with so many visitors and attendees! The Home was busy, bustling and most importantly, brilliant. It was truly a beautiful event to see people come together and fully enjoy themselves and in the process, we were able to raise £298 for the resident’s fund – a fantastic achievement and a huge thank you to everyone who donated and bought goods and food! Another special thanks goes to Skipton Building Society, who provided plenty of goody bags for the day and gave insightful information regarding the services they provide to customers.

Congratulations to the lucky winners of our raffle and we hope for more of the same next year.
