NCSC Visits

Members of the NCSC have been regular visitors of the Nursing Home and this year has been no different. Each and every year, students have been volunteering during their summer holidays to provide some much needed activeness and creativity to the lives of the residents. This year 

Coffee Morning with David Griffiths (11.07.18)

Norwood House Nursing Home welcomed David Griffiths, a pastor from Silsden St James’ Church, who gave an interesting demonstration and the history of handkerchiefs! It was a highly entertaining speech illustrating the origins and uses of handkerchiefs and also highlighted how the material and type

Coffee Morning with Mike Hellawell (10.05.18)

Norwood House Nursing Home was privileged to host Mike Hellawell, Keighley’s very own professional footballer with two England caps! A real celebrity treat. Mike enlightened us all in the life of a footballer back in the fifties and sixties and how different it is today!

In April, Norwood House was joined by Christine Sharp, who divulged into the life of someone suffering from Osteoporosis and in particular, the signs to identify when this disease begins to take place. Christine gave both an informative and emotional talk of her struggles yet

Love is in the air at Norwood House whereby the residents were treated to romantic songs (with the occasional couple dancing taking place!) to roll back the good times with their respected loved ones. The Nursing Home was decorated with hearts, flowers and red decoration 

New Year Celebrations

Norwood House Nursing Home welcomed 2018 with a good old sing-a-long and dance; with many of the residents and staff gleefully joining in! The Nursing Home had a magical ambience with a positive, happy mood serenading from the residents to everyone associated with the Home.
